We provide learning and leadership opportunities that increase the personal, academic, and social skills youth need to be successful in life.
Those taking part become more connected to their communities, do better in school, and are less likely to fall prey to despair, hopelessness, or destructive activities.
After School Program
Our after school program helps youth improve in basic academic skills, while motivating them to do well in school. Classes include one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, and homework help.
We sponsor projects to encourage youth to give back to the community.
- volunteering at homeless shelters
- creating public art installations
- community clean-up and beautification projects
- visiting with the disabled and elderly
Social and Leadership Development
We have structured activities and support groups that develop young people’s social skills, leadership potential, and social responsibility, while promoting a strong anti-violence message.
Who can take part
The Youth Development program is free and available to youth ages 10-24 who live in the City of Seattle.
Schedule of Services
Youth groups generally occur M-F during afterschool hours. Special programs and activities may also occur on the weekend and evenings.
